Wheel backspacing????
So as one might have read from my other post I have a small issue with my wheels. So I am looking to replace them. leads me to a question.....
My would be stock wheels are 7" wide. I would like to go to an 8" wheel, but I know that the backspacing would need to offset the extra inch. So ....
1. What is the stock backspacing on the 15x7 wheel that came on 97-99 daks?
2. Do I want more or less backspacing to take care of the extra inch problem?
3. How does the offset on a wheel work when talking about this issue? (I do not understand offset when talking about wheels)
4. Even with new longer bolts, what is the thickest wheel spacer you can use and still be safe?
Thanks for the info.

I know this is not a complete answer but the show "trucks" on SPIKETV has a episode last saturday they went into detail about back spacing and how to use 2 plumbobs with your rim/tires and know all the demensions to fit your max tires and back spacing on any given truck, it was the episode they were choosing tires/rims for the "old skool" truck.
I seen that episode too. but I still dont understand anything about wheel backspacing.
as for the spacers. my buddy has 3/8" spacer on his jimmy. but I wouldnt recomend anything bigger.
