Default damaged throttle body

cracked the flange around the TB on my 97 3.9L today as i was tightening down the last bolt after putting on my new TB spacer(only torqued the damn thing to 20lbs). I could just JB weld it, only the flange is cracked, not all the way through the TB, but I figured i might as well try to find a junkyard V8 TB if i can. Could someone fill me in with all the info on doing this. Will both the 5.2 and 5.9 TB work? Any modifications need to be done, or do i just plug everything back in the same way? Can't think of any other questions, let me know if you think of anything else. thanks

well it serves you right for trying to put on a throttle body spacer

I would take the tb spacer back and go to a junkyard and find a V8 tb. the 5.2 and 5.9 are the same. I think all you have to do for this mod is, a new throttle cable and bore out the intake holes to match the V8 tb.

hehe cracked or not it is nothing more than a paperweight.....like jonny says get the "throttle body" off a 5.2/5.9L and it makes a nice diff add a cold air intake and you will add 15-20HP between the two mods.....not to many mods for the 3.9L better than that

20 ft-lbs is quite a bit for small bolts going into aluminum. Junk the TB spacer and get a new TB

I've got the TB I took off my 3.9 when I put in my V8 TB, you looking for one of those?
