Since yours is 4WD, you may want to change the transfer case fluid (it gets ATF+4).
Maybe also drop the transmission pan and change the fluid and filters. (unless, of course, its a manual transmission, than just change the fluid).
Oh, and grease any greaseable fittings you might find (u-joints, tie-rods, ball joints... sometimes there are greaseable ones on these trucks).

when buying a used vehicle the best thing you can do is assume that zero maitenance has been done to it. heres what i did to my truck when i bought it with 50k miles on it
Tune Up
Spark plugs (i went iridium)
cap and rotor
plug wires
air filter (i did a CAI but at least check your filter)
inspect and/or replace fan belt
Fluids
flushed cooling system
flushed tranny fluid
greased everything with a fitting
new thermostat
check rear differential
Inspections
check wheel bearings
check battery and terminals as well as engine ground strap
Other
drop in some fuel injection cleaner with a full tank of teir 1 gas (cheveron or 76)
car wash!
after all that you can resume the scheduled maitenance as dictated in the manual, your truck will be as new as a used truck gets. my total cost was around $250 and worth every penny
