RE: chrome rims
Nicka, I see that you recommended wheelmax.com. Perhaps you got some good service from them but I didn't. Quite a few years back when I had a rice burner I bought some 5 spoke 18" rims for my Subaru ran me about 1200 plus shipping. Anyhow I received 3 in the mail one day and was told the other would follow within the day or so. I waited 2 months for that rim, and when I tried to trace it I was never able to find it. When I called wheelmax, it got to be three times a week, the secretary would blow me off. Finally the owner/manager/who ever the hell he was, told me that he had mailed itto me ingood faith, if I hadn't received it, it was my problem. The rims were insured, so the company was refunded the cash for it and they reinbursed me a couple of weeks later, but then it turned out those ADR rims were on back order for a year, I was never able to get an ADR rim for it, they were in back order across the country. I had to get a knock off Ultra brand.
Well that was all well and forgoten a couple of years later, but then one day my wheel lock broke when I was trying to the change the tire, I got a flat in the middle of Virginia. It was one of those that you put the key into a socket looking lug, well there was no way to get it out. I had to get the car towed to North Carolina. Well when I tried to get the locks off the rest of the car, the key stripped and was no good. Come to find out wheelmax discontinued that key and I couldn't get it again.A couple of buddies and I had to remove most of these special lugs w/ a stripped bolt remover, and a breaker bar. To top it off some of them were made of such poor steel that they rusted right onto the studs and wouldn't budge. A couple I had to drill out and put new studs on. This was my experience with wheelmax.com. I will never buy a product from them or recommend their services. I hope I was of some help.
