Default looking for pics of Daks with big fat rear tires

I'm thinking of going with a different look for my 00 R/T come springtime. My thoughts were for BFG radial T/As in a 285/70/15 (31"x11") in the rear and a 255/60/15 (27"x10") in the front. Not sure on the rims yet. Depends on what all is available for Daks in a 15" rim.
Anyone else ever go with the hotrod look?

I have 255/50/17s in the front, and 275/55/17s in the rear, i woudnt go with 70aspect those are a bit big.. I have stock R/T Rims. 17x9 and i can fit up to 285-295 i think. My next step is to get some 285 on the rear and see what that will do for me..

I had stock 255s all around and i coudnt hook up for my life, i got some 275s yokos and they stick like gum, i get perfect launches on streets never had them on a track.

Check my gallery for the pics..

I'll have some 295's on the rear pretty soon. I'll post some pics up when i do. I'malso going with a staggered look. 255/35/R20 up front and 295/40/R20 out back

That's pretty close to the overall tire sizes I'm looking for, I just can't afford to do it with 20" rims. :-( I'm thinking I should be able to pull my plan together for less than what my R/T rims with scorchers are worth.

I found a pic of a car running the 285s:

They just look narrow on that car because they are so tall.

Ya same thing with mine.. i got 255font 275 rear but bigger tires in rear and they look the same size as the front due to the rim buldge, go with 17s in front with 45s or 50s and then get a 20rims in the rear with 45/50 and then you will see a diffrence.. i think it looks alot better to..

The 285s may be a moot point anyway, as it seems BFG has discontiued that size and no one has any left in stock. [sm=headbang.gif] I still hold out hope that there are used ones floating around, but it looks like I may need to alter the plans. Maybe I should just sell the scorchers and follow through with my hot rod plan with some tires for the 17s. I don't have the funds for 20s.

Oh, and here's a pic of my baby when I threw on some 31x10.5-R15s to survive that first winter (gets parked now a days). This is the only shot and I don't have any of the side to show how much room is there.

You might like these pics. Trying to find a 15 inch rim / tire combo thats wider than the R/T rims is quite difficult, unless u spend a load and have custom rims made. If you use R/T wheels and Nitto NT450 tires, they are 11 inches wide on the ground.

Except for the skinny tire up front (I like hard corners as much as I like acceleration), that's just about the look I'm going for. Something bordering on ProStreet. Very cool! [sm=wootwoot.gif]

Those would be the Pro6 series wheels. If you want them, you can order a set from John Mercedes. Im sure you can get different sizes for the front wheels.
