Outstanding step by step process.

 

Last night i changed the water pump and timing chain. It took me 6 hours after an 8hour work day. Very tired lol. The rattleing is gone. The chain was the origonal and had at least an inch of play.[:'(] Now its got a double roller! But now i can hear things i couldnt hear before, like a body squeek, sounds like bushings to me. I didnt realize that after my chain quieted down that id hear other things. Oh well. Keeps me busy. This is comming from someone who when was 16, didnt know not to check the oil with the engine running, now at 22 i just did a timing chain.

 

it's a good feeling knowing how to do repairs isnt it? next you should consider the intake manifold mods and a v8 TB...

 

i have been looking into that. The only problem is that my truck has 175,000 miles on it. I've been more busy just trying to keep it running good. lol. I love the 318 though, so easy to work on. Nothing like the grand am i used to have.
