Default Transmission issues

I have a 2000 Dakota SLT V6 4x2 3.9L. When the truck is cold the automatic trasmission won't shift correctly. It will go way too high in RPM before shifting. As the truck warms up, the issue gets less and less noticeable. Also if I am accelerating and the transmission is not shifting, if I let up on the gas that actually allows it to shift. So if I am accelerating on to the highway I actually have to let off the gas in order to shift to next gear. But after 10-15 min of driving truck opperates normal. Much worse in Winter than summer, and has been like this for 3 years with no sign of getting worse or better. Anyone got any ideas on this one. Thanks for your knowledge.

I would check out the governor pressure sensor and solenoid. it seemsto be a common problem. also maybe try adjusting your bands too.

Possibly a TPS issue.
