Default Loud suspension creaking??

So I'm getting some sort of crazy suspension creaking in my '00 CC SLT. It's coming from the front driver's side, and I can REALLY hear it when I go over bumps and the wheel is turned left. It's the worst if I'm slowly turning left onto a street and it's really bumpy. I don't think I can hear it when the wheel is turned right. One of my friends mentioned a problem of something wearing out on the spring mount and the spring rotating in it's seat. Any ideas?

I have the same squeak you can hear when you go slowly over the bumps more than quickly. I found it to be coming from the front sway bar bushings. I squirted a little oil in there and it went away for awhile now ti is back. I am thinking they need replacement.

when you hear alot of squeaking from the vehicle, 99% of the time its a bushing, its the rubber bushing making the noise, simple part, thats it

It's not squeaking, it's more of a creaking. I guess the sway bar bushings would make sense. Is that something easy to change out?

Your right it's a creaking and yes those bushings are quite easy to change. I have not done mine yet on this vehicle but I have replaced on my old chevy.
This noise is driving me nuts I think I may do it up this weekend if doesn't get to cold.

I have the same problem on my 04. Wonder how they wear so quick? How long are they suppose to last?

Just a warning. Spraying rubber componants with any mineral based oil ie. WD40 can cause the rubber to rapidly perrish or soften up. You can use silicon based oil or grease safely. I haven't tried it myself, but I know "Back to Black" intirier spay is mostly silicon, so it should work if sprayed onto the bushes. At least it won't cause any damage. Will try to remember to spray mine at the weekend and mine creaks badly. I used silicon grease on the ends of the sway-bar, nearest the wheels but it didn't stop it. The bolts holding the brackets to the chassis were so tight I gave up on greasing them but spray might do the trick. I'll let you know if it works!

Great point! Silicon based is the way to go.
