Default 89' 5.2 into an 01 dak

my buddy maybe parting out with his 318 or 5.2L motor from his 89' ram charger.. im gonna do the whole motor over, convert to fuel injection, get a 99' dak computer, that should bolt right into my existing 01 that has the 3.9 in place, right?.. i know the tranny will need to be replaced, not worried about that though...

Yeah plus a 99 computer will NOT work with your truck. Your gauges would go nuts and you'd have other issues as well. Plus the 89 has a lot of other things yours isn't set up for either. Different sensors, ect. Not worth it. Just go get one out of a wrecked 01.

Not worth it imho. You'd be better off getting a magnum 5.9 and rebuilding it.
