What types of things does the computer re-learn and how do you make the computer do this?

first off, anytime you do an upgrade like intake, throttle bodie or cams, you need to reset the computer to learn the new paramiters. simply remove neg. battery cable for 20 minutes. then reinstall. start and stop truck 3 times. on the third time leave truck running for 5 minutes and take it for a ride. this will make computer learn quicker. if this is not done after a mod is installed then it will take 300-500 miles to learn.
