you can always make your own heat shield but i cant promise its gonna look good thats all a matter of how artistic you are

 

Awesome thanks for all the help! This is actually an intake for my unlce's truck....So i'll just tell him that he can get any K&N CAI. the k&n doesn't come with that heat sheild? .I'll be the one installing it...I'll seach for a DIY section on the fourm. BUt thanks again everyone!

from looking at the hoses in my moms durango with the 4.7 and my dakota with the 3.9 id say that they look like they are the same size and that these look like, at least from the instructions, like they would fit so good luck and let us know how it works out

 

get the one for the 5.2/5.9 they use the same intake as the 3.9

 

Well really with a littel bit of modding you can make any CAI work you can get 1 made for the 3.9. Actully head on over to autoanything.com and put in your make model and year then it will come up with a bunch of stuff they have for your truck. I belive they sell a few diffrent brands there but airraid makes a CAI for the truck i had 1 on mine from that site and was quite pleased with fitment, look, and performance increase (lol if you can even say performance and 3.9 in the same sentnce haha).
