Hey, I'm new to this fourm. I've been looking around trying to find a intake that would fit on my truck, but all I can find are intakes that fit for the V8 modles only......If someone can help me on this, that would be awesome!! thanks-

Some of the 4.7s will fit on the V6s .

Thanks ^ but most of the threads that came up aren't for the V6, the only ones I looked at were all for the V8s .... I was just wondering what intake would fit my truck with the 3.9L V6....

 

I think people just buy one for the 4.7 and make it fit

 

Yes any K&N CAI will work.

 

I just put a CAI on my 3.9 v6.
I got it on Ebay for $6.00 plus shipping. Search "Chrome Intakes" and you should find it.
I noticed a difference imediately with some more ***** and when I kick it down, sounds like a 4 barrel.
Very easy to install, all of 10 mins removing old filter box and installing new CAI.

make sure it has a sheild on it to keep it away from the engine heat. or else its not a cold air intake and you will just be sucking in hot air from the motor.
