New tires.. need some help choosing please
Look around at other trucks/suv's. Damn near everybody and their brother run BFG T/A KO. Tells you it's probably a pretty good tire with a very good rep. Had them on my Jeep and was very happy with them.
I am currently running Futura Dakotas from Pep Boys. Made by Cooper Tire for Pep Boys. I think they changed the name to Definity from Futura recently.Pretty muchthe same tread pattern as the BFG T/A but a quite a bit cheaper tire. I think I paid about $80-90 per tire (265/70-R16)versus$180/tire for the BFG's. Besides its cool to have a "Dakota" tire on my Dakota. Money was the driver here.
So far I've had them for a little over a year now. Very little noticeable wear. They have been absolutely superb in the Colorado snows. Ialso wheeled themlast summerseveral timeson the Alpine Loop (mountain trails around Silverton, Ouray, and Lake City, CO) and they were great. No problems and they held up very well on the rocks with no sidewall cuts, gouges, etc. As it stands now, without questionI would get them again. We'll see how they hold up after another year.

I know this is an old post, but I see questions about tires all the time.
There are people I go 4x4ing with that swear by those Geolander A/Ts.
I've also heard really good things about Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. The Geolanders are a bit cheaper though.
If money's not a problem and you like offroadingthere's also BFG Krawlers orSuper Swampers.
