ok fine it will blow the silicone out thats why my box doesnt leak. w/e you say
and theres no way anything i said would ever work i mean its only the way its set up in my own pickup. nothing rattles it makes a solid thump. *shakes head* nope doesnt work at all

btw you silicone it on the inside and it wont shove through the crack because the crack is way to small. you cut the hole damn near the exact same size as the magnent. and its just plain silicone nothing super tough you dont need it.and i know what the fill is for. i was just putting it in simple terms it will sound like crap withoutthe fillif you build a box like mine. it sounded hollow untill i put the pillow stuffing in.theres more than 1 way to build a box. how do u know untill you try/see/hear it?

well...i got lucky...i ran into some money...and i took my truck to tweeter...and they ripped out my center console and built a new one...which was all box...got a 10w7 in there...but hey...its all in what your budget is...and what you want.....i paid 1200 for the labor and everything for my box...just for the BOX!! lol...however i bought the truck from my pop...and he had two audiobahn 8's in a small box that fit on the passenger side...if your interested id be willing to sell...the subs can take 200 watts rms a piece...gets pretty loud...depending on what your listening to...if you listen to anything but rap and r&b...the enclosure would be perfect...let me know if your interested!

so how long have you had your box in now? i suppose that maybe it will hold. im only guessing here, then again im not a professional...maybe just REAL. i got to thinkin that maybe after you've listened to them for a while and IF your pumping some real watts through them that when your speakers warm up it will just help bond the silicone to your speakers and the box. that would be the tightest sealed box ever! but hey, if thats what works for you good. maybe you don't know the real sound qualilty yet because one you haven't broken them in and the sound is all new to you. give it 2wks and im sure that will change! you'll find rattles and vibrations even after you go through and seal everything in your truck off.
whatever...good luck!

Ok maybe the idea that dodgedakota98luver had works with low pressure applications. But ill tell you right now if i did that with my alpine type x, with my Rockford Bd1000 it would blow the crap right out of it.

i've had my subs in for a year and a half. the box isnt small because its very wide. it stretches all the way acrost the back of the cab and sits 2 subs. not to mention the polyfilland everyone thats ever riden in my truck has said good things about my sterio. i didnt build the box myself. my brother did it for me. he's been doing that sort of thing ever since he was my age. i'm 17 he's 35. we've got 18 years difference between us. i'd let yall listen to it if you were near by. and yes i did the proper break in meathod on my subs. i know not to blast them full boar when they are brand new

with my kickers i've got .4'cubed which is just on the above the minimum. i have thought about just using one and making a ported box the length of the cab, but why go with one when i can fit 2. it still hits low, not the low lows, but it'll make your voice shake like talkin into a fan. my remotes and phone on the dash dance around like dance dance revolution.
