Default Rolling Locks

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota that I would like to disable the rolling lock feature on. The dealer wanted to charge me a fee. Can I do this myself?

That's retarded. Is the dealer the only place in town you can get your truck serviced? If not, tell them that by not spending 5 minutes to help you out with this they're ruining the relationship and you'll take your business elsewhere. What the hell happened to the service part of customer service?

In your manual is a section how to change that and other lock related functions. If you can't find it let me know and I will look it up in mine. Hopefully it is the same as for my 2001.

Found it in the owners manual. Took a couple of tries, but worked like a champ. Thanks,

so how did you end up dissabling them? I wanna do that to my 99 since the passenger side makes a squeaking noise and hardly ever works. and I dont feel like buying a new door lock actuator right now. and I'm to lazy to go out to the shop and uncover the truck to get the manual.

It was a sequence of putting on seat belt, turning ignition on four times, and then locking the door.

On our 2000 Durango the sequence was a little different, so I guess it varies from model to model.
