Thats the problem, i dont have comprehensive insurance or collision (to keep costs down). But i am only 17.
Even so, its still safer just to hit the deer. Repairing $1500-2000 in front end damage from the deer is cheaper than the $7000-8000 loss in rolling the truck or hitting a tree, car, pole, etc...
True, next time, if there is a next time (which there probobly will be), i'll just run over the damn thing. I'm definitaly looking into getting a gaurd for the front of my truck.
Tell that to a friends parents. THey had them on their Suburban and still hit one. Had around 5 vehicles come through our shop with them that had deer damage.
me and a buddy were cruisng around in his ram the other night and had about 20 of them retarded deer run out in front of us. after about 10 of them ran across we considered running two over and letting a few others hit the side. we could have ate like kings for a month.
I got my truck back last night. I took my dad 2 hours to put on the grille, alligne the hood, fix the headlight, and put in the new radiator. He did a really food job with it. It runs good and the deer didnt evenmess up my allignment.
