Default Y pipe

I got a question on my exhaust. My truck is set up where it goes from the stock exhaust manifold to the stock Y pipe then through a highflow cat a glasspack then another Y pipe and comes out dual. I haveheaders to put on my truck as soon as the weather clears a little bit. how restrictive is that first Y pipe? is it worth replacing?

Well the first y-pipe is about 1-7/8". It is not that big. It would help to make it the same diameter as rest of your exhaust system. But, if your going to go to the trouble to replace the y-pipe, you might as well buy headers if you can afford it.

Sweet! Whatever the collect diameter is on the headers make that same size of piping go to the cat, if you can. There might not be room, but check withyour mufflershop.
