Default ticking...exhaust leak?

my 98 r/t makes a small ticking noise that seems to go away at higher rpms. it sounds like it could be coming from the exhaust, not sure tho. i was wondering if it could be an exhaust leak. any ideas? thanks

it's probly where the pipe connects to the manifold.

You'd know if you had an exhaust leak. It would have suddenly become about twice as loud, either right at the manifold on the engine block, or somewhere down the line if your pipes broke or something. I think I know which noise your talking about, and it's nothing to worry about.

It could be a pinhole exhaust leak, but sounds like a timing chain to me.

I have a 2003 with the same ticking noise. I going to take some photos of what is wrong, but a bolt that mounts the heat sheild in the manifold has sheared off for some reason? I have yet to find time to start taking things apart.
