get a big friggin flathead screwdriver, a big hammer,
beat the driver in between the hitch and reciever on all 4 sides multiple times. you shouldn't be able to damage anything but the rust
if you get a gap while the driver is in there, spray some nut buster in there.
repeat until you use a bunch of nut buster up, wait a while, then start tugging
the comealong idea should be able to do the trick
should be safer than dragging a trailer down the street or pulling on a tree.

just dont do what my friend rob did. he had the exact same problem only on a jeep grand cherokee. he hooked a log chain to the hitch and the other end to a 4x4 john deer tractor, backed up to the tractor, floor it and WAM it ripped the receiver out from under the jeep and part of the frame with it.

well that sounds like a good bit of advice and i will see if i can get that to work, but the nut buster has not done much of anything for me as i have tried it, i have also hist it from every direction with a full size splitting sledge and when i put it on the come a long i was able to drage the entire truck across the driveway with someone standing on the brakes so this thing is in there, i will try as many of these thing as i can today and will let you know but as i keep saying, still open to more ideas, i just want this damn thing out

Try using the come along to put some tension on it then use the BFH. also soak it in PB blaster first. This is why I always remove mine when not in use.

ok thanks guys tried everything i could on the truck, took the hitch reciever off of the truck this afternoon so i could get it on the drill press, planning on drilling out the back and forcing the hitch out, then putting it back on so that i will have it if i need it but yea no more leaving hitches in the reciever for me, (not that i ever did it was the guy who owned the truck before me) any ideas now that i can work on it easier would still be appreciated and most likely tried as nothing worked while it was on the truck hopefully something will now that ive got it inside

now that you have it off of your truck, it will be alot easier. and when you drill out the back of the hitch, it should just hit right out. it might take alot of swings. but it should come out that way.
