Default Check engine light

Last night, we got a butt load of rain. And there's alot of puddles in the road. There is a huge puddle (more of a pond) down the road from my house. I went through it twice and the second time i went through it, my check engine light came on and flashed a couple of times. If it came on and flashed and goes off, does this mean something really bad or should i not worry about it?

i agree, the 02 sensors have a tendancy to short. see if you can get it scanned at a dealer.

i would not worry about it because is imnothot said it was probably just a short from having your own personal ocean and carrying it around in your truck

if the light is stil on, head to the local parts store and have them scan it for free.

The light went off after a couple of flashes. I just wanted to see if it was something serious.

as long as you kept the water away from the intake
I've had water to the top of the fenders before without a problem

Going through the "pond" might have knocked something loose or triggered it for only a short time. I wouldn't worry about it, but I would give everything the look over.
