I have my A/C bypassed cause my clutch is gone in it. and I went to the auto parts store and got one for a 5.2 without A/C and it was too short. I think it's either 2 or 3 sizes bigger then the one without A/C. I cant remeber how many trips I made[:@]

Doorman-replacement autop parts mfg. makes an idler pulley that will replace the compressor. Uses the same belt as original. Bolts on in place of the compressor, re-install the belt. Can be bought at almost any auto parts store- NAPA, CarQuest, Checker, ect I sold many of these in my auto parts selling days. Make sure that you seal the hoses so that no moisture can enter the system. If you do replace the compressor down the road, you don't want moisture and refrigerant to make an acids and destroy other things.
