Default Change the shift points on automatic

Hi to all.....I`m new to you, but you all are not new to me... I`v been reading
this forum almost daily since i bought my dak. in January 2007.
This is by far the best forum out there....U guys rock!!!!!

Myquestion is this....Can u change the shift points on an automatic tranny??
and how....If its possible.
My truck changes gear way to soon....it barley rev`s past 2,000rpmand then
changes to the next gear.....even when i stomp on it....so i have to manually
change it to rev it out more.

My truck info is below.....Thanx!!

2 things you can do is go out and spennd 400.00 on a hypertech or superchips programs so you can mess with the peramiters and set your own shift points, or you can try reseting your computer. remove neg./ battery cable and turn ignition key all the way forward and hold for 15 sec. this will clear the memory reinstall cable and start and stop truck 3 times. on the thrid time leave truck running for 5 min and take it for a ride. if this dosent cure the problem then maybe a shift kit. also when was the last time the tranny fluid was flushed and serviced. my 05 4.7 pulls to 6 grand and shifts real hard and tops out at 118 on the highway.

start and stop 3 times will let the computer learn faster, or else it will take 300 miles for it to learn everything.
