I got a recall notice for the ECM and there's a couple other recalls that haven't been done

Better than having it leaving you stranded.

at least it wont cost you that much if its all warranty.

the coil in my truck died yesterday and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. I was about 5 miles from my shop.so I had to walk in the snow storm and it was -20 out. and I took the 4 wheeler back to the truck and changed the coil. lets just say it was a bad weekend.

and now all the roads are closed so I cant go to work SNOW DAY!!!![sm=groupwave.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]

...or the airbag go off when i shut the truck off, thats one of the recalls
it just needs the ecm re-flashed
apparently it isn't able to detect a deteriorating catalytic converter until it goes bad,

coinicidentaly, my after cat o2 sensor set off the CEL the other day. so they might replace the cat. under recall

my uncle is a body man at the same dealer,
plus the cat is covered under recall, they have to inspect it and replace if it rattles

Don't forget that certain emissions components have a long warranty on them. I'm not sure on the specifics offhand though.

it's a 97. with the 2.5L engine
