dakota tire size..Anyone?????

OK this has been asked many times without answer...so one more time. What size tire can be put on factory rims?? Now there are 245-70x16.

I've got 31x10.5's but I've seen bigger,
wheel size dosen't affect tire height, just width

Going wider than 10.5 is not recommended.

^On a 15x7. 15x8 you can go wider. I currently run a 33x12.5 on a 15x8.

your factory rims are 16x8.5 they can handle a tire as big as 315 75 which is equivialent to a 33.5" tire but if you use that size tire you will need a 6" lift kit but on a stock dodge dakota you are able to run 265/75 tire without rubbing...

Different wheel options are different. Some OEM wheels come 15x8, 16x8 and 17x8 (IIRC the R/T wheels are 17x8, someone correct me if I am wrong.) Also, I don't believe that any wheels came from the factory with a width of 8.5.
