Hmm, what can a Dak pull. How bout this. -Pics
Last summer I started a post asking those here for some help on a pull I was attempting. I had little experience pulling and the helpyou guys offeredwas great. I had promised to post pics when I finished. Well my son just now got around to figuring out how to extract the pics he took from his cell phone camera. Gee, I hate it when he rushes.
The original pictures were small being that they were taken witha telephone cameraso I had to enlarge them a bit and in the process lost some detail. Son also didn't get any pictures with the entire truck in view either, sorry.
Again these were taken last summer when I just purcahsed the viper from a guy in MO and I hauled it to Indianapolis. The last two picturesare ofthe truck as she sits right now all dirty due to the snow this winter.
More pics in my Gallery. Enjoy.

Dakota, Viper, and is that a C5 I see in your garage too? Life's rough man, life is rough.

Also a coment I forgot to mention.-- The only thing the truck could have used was something to keep the back end from squating down. After I loaded up the viper, the back end of thedak went down about 2, maybe 3 inches. Din't take an exact mesurement, but a good anaolgy would be that the rear end didn't have that 4x4 stance anymore. The rear was about as high as a regular non 4x truck.I don't think it compromisedthe performanceof the truck, but it would have looked much better.
Ido want to addsomething to the rear suspension to avoid this for next time.
You can add a leaf in the rear and you will be set.

Thanks in advance
I went with the helwig helper setup - you don't have to get longer u-bolts or unhook anything, and it doesn't lift your truck. Installed in about 20 minutes for both sides, and I leave it clamped all the way down pretty much all the time. I haven't really noticed a difference in ride quality either, but if you did, it'd take a whopping 20 minutes or less to get them back out so it's something you could install whenever you wanted to tow.
