Got a crazy problem...the front seat belts locked themselves in the retracted position for no apparent reason. Both rear shoulder belts worked fine, but both front belts wouldn't unlock from the front seat.A few hours later, the problem went away and they work fine now...there must be a malfunctioning sensor somewhere..any ideas?

 

The only sensors in seat belts are the ones in the clicker that turn your dash light on when you aren't buckled
the lock is controlled by a spring loaded pin that locks it when the belt moves too fast

why both front belts would do it with no reason, i don't know, other than water getting in there and freezing (not likely)
maybe the resident guru will know

 

was it hanging from a tree when they were locked

j/k weird problem...

 

it was probly just the spring in side got caught on something. but thats wierd that the both did it at the same time

 

I believe there is a TSB for this issue....
