Default Where are the oxygen sensors?

2003 Dakota 4.7L 4x4 Quad Cab

I am only able to find 2 of the 4 oxygen sensors...
Where are they, and what's the deal with the oneon the frontside of the catalytic converter? Did they make this to where it is inaccessable for a reason?

how did you get to the before cat one?
and were you able to just use a regular wrench to remove the sensors?
Any additional lubricants etc needed?

If you have 2 pre cats then you have 4 o2s, if you have one big cat then you have 2. Look under your truck, up towards the headers (exhaust manifolds) and see if you have small cats, if so then the 2x o2 sensors are behind those towards the headers, if you have one big cat try looking directly behind it there should me a long metal thing sticking out of your exhuast, you might have to look behind the pipe where the frame is.

They are easy to take out... all you need is a wrench, and if your installing new ones. They come pre lubed, as far as i know(atleast mine did). You screw them in to the exhuast and clip them back up to the harness. I just changed mine out today... It was pretty easy.

I thought they only put 4x o2s on 04+?

user 2006 what brand did you use? i've seen that many people look down on bosch... no reasons given.

i am pretty sure i also only have 2 o2 sensors because i definitely see that the header pipes join into 1 catalytic converter (i see no smaller ones, like they have on the liberty etc...)

any ideas why noproduct website or parts dealer would mention this????

I used Bosch o2 sensors, bosch makes bad plugs for our trucks, but they make good things to... so far mine work fine, it fixed my problem, and my a/f gauge works alot better now with new o2s faster readings.

What is the best way to unclip the o2 sensor wire connector (OE version)? I have managed the post cat one, but I need to know if there are any tricks so I can master the pre cat sensor.
