Default 02 4wd is gone

Hey, new here. I have an 02 Dakota sport 4x4 4.7L. Today I tried switching it into 4wd, and there is nothing. No lights on the switch, and it won't engage. No noises, nothing. I looked for a fuse but couldn't find anything. Any idea where to look? Last week I was under the truck, had to fix a vacum line on the charcoal thingy to pass emissionsI didn't touch anything else.

do you have the electronic 4X4? iirc it is the switch that goes on them.

When mine did that I took it in under warranty and they said it was the transfer case control module - basically the motor that changes the gear for you. That part was iirc about $320. Not sure about the switch.
