Default Headroom in a '00 Dakota

Right now I have a '03 Ram and am sick of the fuel economy (I'm averaging 8.4mpg) and my neighbor is looking to sell his Dakota. It's a 2000 Club cab not the two full door option. I'm worried I won't fit, right now I'm 17 and 6'6". Any ideas?

Thanks, I hopefully will get a chance to sit in it over the weekend. One thing what is the acceleration like compared to my Ram with a 4.7 and auto transmission, the Dakota is the 5.2 with a 5 speed manual, and both are four wheel drive.

The dakota will be faster. It's a bit lighter and the auto saps a bunch of power. Ok well if you've got 3.92s in the Ram and 3.55s in the dakota it'll be a different story, but gearing aside, that's that.

You should have no problem.
I have owned a full size truck forever and went to a 00 quad cab and felt the seats were actually to low. (I didn't get that truck feeling while driving.) I made some extensions to raise my seats close to 3"to give me that truck feel while driving a truck. I am not quite the size of you at 5'10" but there is still plenty of room above me. My kids friend has the same truck as what your looking at and he runs over 6' and a good 280lbs and he has no problem either.

Your not gonna have any problems. I'm 6'4 and have plenty of headroom in my club cab. performance wise i think ur gonna love it. Just have the truck inspected someplace to see what your getting into before you buy it, after that, ENJOY!

I'm 5'4" and I got lots of room but I find the dak seats way more comfortable them the ram seats.
