Default Electric fan conversion

So my fan clutch is shot (as I found out one of our 100 degree days awhile back...) and I want to do away with it and run electric only. I had thought about getting a Viper fan conversion from socaldakota.com, but since the site took a dump, I don't really know what to go with. Anybody done this on here? 360 or not?

don't the dakotas come with both? electric and clutch? what if you took your clutch fan off and just had your electric? or would that not work?

I don't think so, but if it did, it wouldn't move enough air.

R/T's and most other V8 Daks and Durangos have both. The problem with just using one is this.....the stock electric fan only comes on when either the A/C is on or the coolant temp reaches 230. Which is way too hot for anything with a S/C. I was thinking I could install a pusher fan in front of the A/C condenser and leave the stock electric fan, or get a 2 speed fan to mount on the engine side but I don't know which is better or easier to do.

Rewire the electric fan to run on a switch or make it run all the time. No harm in that.

Get a Mark-8 fan. It moves 5800 CFM.
You use it as a puller. As a pusher you
will lose 30% right from the get-go.
It's a two-speed fan. A/C on & off.
I think you can still get them for under
a buck-fifty. (Or, hit the bone-yards and
find one for ten-twenty bucks).
If your truck has a pusher already, just
get rid of the clutch-fan & Wire it in for
low speed only,.. It moves 3250 CFM on
low. Do it,.. It will free up some HP for
ya and, better MPH too.
