Question about about my headlights,..
When I turn my headlights on, my fogs, parking lights come on but
not my Headlights.
If I turn my brights on by flicking the lever on the collium, then back to
the regular lights they will stay on if I flip back and forth a few times.
Sometime, the regular lights will only stay lit a few seconds.
It seems, after a few try's flipping back and forth, they finally stay lit.
Is there a Headlight switch behind the lever that can go bad or something??

wow...im dealing with the same problem for over 5 months and no body knows what im talking about.......mine did the same thing basically...

Same truck as mine. The problem with the beams is in the steering column. I had that problem. A wire came loose in the harness on the left side of the steering column. It is a bitch. Taking the column off isn't. How to wire up the rest, I don't know. Did you not get instructions? If the lights around the headlight switch don't work or do intermittantly, hit it with something when they are on. That's all I do.
I think the wire is blue/white. It comes loose from the insert in the plastic connector. I had a hell of a time fixing it. I pulled the metal connector out of the plastic connector and soldered the wire back on. Then put it back in the connector and used a piece of plastic to hole it in while I snapped it back on. When you pull off the steering column cover, look on the driver side of the column. You'll see a blue connector. It has like 20 wires going to it. You should see the wire I'm talking about. It will be very loose. I hope it helps you some. If it does, then you should share your .gif's with me. Ha ha lmfao! Seriously!

pull the connector with the blue on it apart and look to see if there are any loose wires inside. That is where mine was loose. If you open all of those connectors in that picture and nothing is loose, then it is gonna be somewhere else. I believe this is a common problem. It has like 30 or so wires going into it. The one that was loose on mine was blue/blk or blue/white. It is hard to remember. All I can say is good luck with it and I sure hope I have helped you in some way. I'll give you some rep for doing such a good job on this.

Then the multi-function lever, and then the plug (Blue & black) with
all those wires coming out of the blue side... Seemed fine... Checked the pins
for tightness. Then, with a flashlight checked all the holes those pins go into
on the female side of the plug. Sprayed both sides with electronics cleaner &
Dio-electric grease.
What I DID find was green on the little brass areas underside of the
multi-lever. I sprayed electronics cleaner in those openings & Started
working the lever back & forth-up & down. Then used dio-electric grease
in the same openings and on all the pin connectors for the blue & black
plug. Last night it seemed to work just fine,.. I guess I will just have to
wait and see if it works for good cause, the price for a new lever is 54
bucks from Auto-Zone. Would rather keep my cash in my pocket if I can.
And, I sure don't feel like taking it all apart again!
