power door lock question
Is there a way for me to defeat the auto door lock function incorporated into the keyless entry system [once the truck is under way] or is it a dealer only re program visit? The fewer 'Nanny's' in my vehicles the better

You should be able to turn off rolling door locks this way:
1. Sit in the truck and close all doors. Be sure all the doors are unlocked.
2. Turn the ignition key from the OFF position and the ON position 4 times. On the 4th time, leave the key in the ON position. Don't start the engine.
3. Within 30 seconds of leaving the key in the ON position, press the door lock switch on the driver's door to lock all the doors.
4.The door open chime will sound one time to let you know the rolling door lock feature has been turned off. Remove the key from the ignition.
5. Follow this same procedure if you ever want to restore the rolling door lock feature.

The essence of good automotive forums is quick knowledgeable responses to questions. I wonder how many forum members, beside me, will be following your instructions today?
