Default Transfer case motor

If the transfer case motor was bad would it just cause the lights on the switch to be dimmed and barley visible. I have already tried to replace the switch and replaced the tccm which I pick up from a local junk yard.

It could be the mode sensor on the transfer case. It tells the TCCM what position the transfer case is in.

It gets power, 5v, from the TCCM.

The system can be scanned for codes? Might be easier than swapping out parts.

Not sure.

The schematic shows it as a 4 pole switch - BUT with a 5 volt supply that's not part of the switch.
