Default under hood insulation pad

Has anyone made their own under hood pad? I need one not so much for heat protection, but for salt! I'm getting tired of cleaning off all the salt residue every time we get bad weather! I've invested too much into my baby already to have the salt eat it away! Rebuilt 5.9 motor and tranny, bed replacement and tons of body work. Once I get the wheels powder coated I will post pics. I can't find one online. Did they even make them for the 2nd gen Dakotas? Any input would be appreciated!

I don't believe so. Closest you will get is buying Dynamat or similar and just gluing it to the hood.
