I have a 05 durango Hemi. did not come with the the reciever hitch so i was assuming it did not have the tow package...however,,,after looking at it there is a smaller radiator typeabout 8" wide running length ways up and down in front of the radiator with the lines running to the transmission. is this an adequate cooler for about 4800# towing weight. also i was informed i should also have a power steering cooler which i believe i already have that installed as well....it is about 4" wide running side to side in front of the cooling system i just mentioned above.. and this also has lines that run to the power steering resevior. Please if anyone has any advice on this i would greatly appreciate it. ......Also is it normal for a vehicle to have a tow package and not be list as a part of the original build package?

 

Someone may have added those on there. Mine came with the tow packages and has both the tranny cooler and power steering cooler, reciever, power brake wiring and trailer light wiring. Go to the dealer and request a build sheet.

 

Or:
Email your VIN to DC customer assistance and request a printout of your build sheet. You should have it in a day or so.

What about the mirrors I got the small ones and paid for the tow package was i supose to get larger ones?

 

If you payed for the tow package you should have gottent eh 6x9 fold away mirrors.

 

Does anyone have any information on tandem towing with the 2nd gen durango. i do have the hemi. with the semi tow-package...Please looking for some advice

 

My 05 has the tow package on it but I don't have a hitch. It has the 2 extra coolers. I have the small mirrors. I haven't looked at the wiring but according to the build sheet it's there.

 

Is the "build sheet" the options list stickerthat was on my window?

 

No it is a seperate print out of what was ordered. YOu actually find some interesting things on there.

 

THan you don't have the tow package. The extra coolers are something that was probably ordered with you "D". Also the extra wiring that you will have will be the standard brake light wires. THe extra one that comes with the tow package is the electric brake wire.
