It's your choice wether or not you want to bring it in for service. Worst case is Dodge will just keep sending you a notice until you do it.If you actually encounter a failure down the road I'm pretty sure it will be much more of a headache then if you just did the preventative maintenance now. I don't see why you wouldn't want to...it's FREE.

Actually the worst case is that you will have a failure and something very wrong could happen... even death. Do not ignore recall notices. That is very bad advise. They are not issued lightly and they are very costly to the company and require a lot of NTSC arm bending to get in the first place.

The G07 is a dash fire that causes the entire vehicle to go up in flames. Very serious to those that have experienced it. Very frustrating to those I hear of going in and having to wait up to 6 weeks on a list to get it fixed (due to a vendor switch on the parts I hear.) It sometimes starts with the smell of smoke of course and interior lights that don't want to go out (dome, dash, etc) for days earlier and ignored. However that isn't always the case and it could just go up in flames with no notice too. Total numbers have been low I have read (less than 100 I think I read) but don't trust crap you read on the internet ... go get the D fixed already.

Take it to the dealer and have the recall done. All they are going to do is remove the cluster and switch a wire and flash the cluster or replace if the ohm test isout of specs.

The recall is so serious, you even get a free loaner if they need to order parts!

I had mine done last week but had to go back since the dome lights did not work anymore....

Has anyone else had electrical problems after the recall service?

When I picked up my '04 Durango from the dealer after having the recall service, the lock actuator on the driver's side door didn't function and Dodge refuses to fix it unless I pay $230. I can't "prove" the lock actuator is related to the recall, but the door worked when I brought it in and I'm guessing that they fried it when they swapped the wires on the circuit board.

Cant blame Dodge for that. The dealer sucks. Find a new one. Also, triple check the vehicle before leaving. Lesson learned. Sorry.

I had that recall fixed on mine the first week in May. I called and scheduled the appointment and it only took a week for the part to come. The whole repair took 2 hours.

Thanks for all the replies..just came back from the dealer, 2 hours wait time but all done. One thing I notice different is that the interior lights just goes off in 10 seconds after I enable the alarm. It use to fade out..is this a issue>? Should I complain or not bother with it?

I can't believe it. We are having exactly the same problem with our driver's door lockafter the recall was fixed. Only thing is we called it to the Dealer's attention before leaving the lot. They said they didn't have time to fix it that day so we brought it back the next, and guess what! They still won't fix it. Now they say it was already like that when we brought it in! We intend to file a complaint.
