Hi everyone,
Anyone install a cd/mp3 player is their Durango? I have the Infiniti factory system in mine and was thinking about changing.

I installed a Pioneer DEH-P7600mp in my 98 Durango. I used the stock Infiniti amp to power the Diamond audio door speakers and a memphis amp powering two 10 in memphis subs to give it a little more punch. If you need instructions on the install I have them in a pdf file and can e-mail them to you. Good luck on your choice headunits

Thanks for the info GhostRider.
Do you have radio controls on your steering wheel?
I'm a bit concerned that i won't be able to use them in conjunction with another system.

Thanks to all for the advice. I wish a manufacturer had a stereo that was
the same size as the huge stock radio.

I put an Alpine CVA 1004 in mine with a Alpine DVA 5200 where the center vents are. There are parts out there that will let you still keep your steering wheel controls. The part is made by Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC) www.go2pac.com However, does anyone know where the stock amp is? I am interested in changing mine out but don't want to tear everything out to find it.

The stock amp is behind the right front kick panel
