Good to hear HemiDen! What Durango did you get... SLT Hemi? Color? Interior?

Boatbuilder, We selected the SLT Hemi 4x4.

This was one that was on the lot that we liked the best. In addition to the standard SLT features the options listed on the sticker are:

-Inferno Red Crystal Pearlcoat
-Leather Trimmed First & Second Row Seats
Reclining 40/20/20 Second Row Seats
Leather Wrapped Sterring wheel
-Interior Convenience Group
Automatic headlamps
Overhead Console
Rear Courtesy Reading lamps
Sunvisors with Illuminated Vanity Mirrors
Universal Garage Door Opener
Vehicle Information Center
-Trailer Tow Group
Heavy Duty Service Group
Class IV Hitch receiver
7 and 4 pin wiring harness
-5.7 Liter Hemi Multi-Displacement Engine
Full-Time 4WD Shift-on-the-Fly Transfer case
-Power Sunroof
-Heated Front Seats
-Gray Running Boards
-AM/FM Radio w/in-dash 6CD/MP3 Player
-P265/60R18 OWL Goodyear Wrangler Tires
-Power Adjustable Pedals

At the risk of repeating myself, I have to say Dodge did a great job with this truck! My wife probably said it the best when she said everything just feels right when driving it.

Boatbuiler, I am sure there is an aftermarket option out there if you do a google search. One thing about the Factory Overhead console is that it works with MANY of the upgraded features of the Convenience group such as "Personal Settings", "Vehicle Information" (MPG, etc..), which probaly is wired into a factory harness somewhere. If I were you, I would ask your Dodge dealer if you can get the OEM installed. Otherwise you may not get all of the features.

I have seen ones with just a light and compass, but those of course were aftermarket. Some may even have the outside temp feature if you find the right one. But again, I'd start by asking your dealer what options are available through Dodge, if any.

Good luck.

Again, GAP coverage on your insurance would be about $30 for 6 months, not $30 per month as with the included dealer option.

Nice to hear about your new D.
