Tire Recommendations
Howdy , all Nice little forum you've got here ...
I have an '05 ST 4.7 Mag that is in need of new sneakers before snow flies.
I live in the hill country of NE Pennsylvania , near to New York state line.
on a dirt road with an uphill 600 ft long driveway. Needless to say, an All-season Radial with a good clearing tread pattern is a must but my other problem is "stone bruising". Our road gets re-graded a couple of times a summer and if I have tires with less than 50% tread , invariably I end with a hole in one from a rock.
I have looked at Tirerack and Discount Tire online and have a few ideas but am wondering if anybody else has a tire recommendation.
Am leaning towards a LT 245-70-R17 Cooper Discoverer H/T (10ply) as my first choice but am open to any suggsetions from the group.

I have those on my Montero Sport but they have less than two months with me. At his time, my experience has been good. Low noise and comfortable ride. Treadwear is 520!
The tread pattern is very similar to the Wrangler SRA but they look more oriented to be an on-road tire. Anyway, the price is excellent and they will be my first choice when the time comes for my Wranglers.
If you want I can send you a picwith atread close-up. Just e-mail me.
