Default replaceing rotors 04 d

I just got my 04 durango and have been doing some routine maintenance. I felt the rotors through the wheel and they need to be replaced or cutt I rather just put aftermarket ones on. My ? is do are rigs havea one piece rotor and hub assemblie where youhave to remove a spindle nut to get the rotor off or just pull the clip off the stud and off comes rotor. If anyone knows it would help me out before i start the project in case i need to get some tools from the old man. Thnks.

If you take the calipers off you can pull the rotors off. The rear come off a little harder due to the drum e-brake.

As SCA said, the rotors come off relatively easy. They don't use the spindle nut assembly like older big cars. Remove the calipers, then remove the caliper retainers. The front rotors mate against a hub flange and simply lift off. Make sure to clean any rust off the flange to ensure the new rotor sits square against it or you may have a pulsation when you are done. I also like to paint the flange with a little nickel antiseize compound. Not a lot so it gets everywhere, just enough to prevent corrosion.

The rears are similar except the have a small drum brake assembly that uses the inside of the brake rotor as a brake drum. This is the parking brake assembly and can sometimes cause you grief if there is a ridge worn into the rotor. Just take your time and things should go ok.
