yes you can you need american international kit cdk-650 (the metra kit sucks), you will also need the pac-audio.com piece c2r-chy it will give you acc turn on, vss, dimmer, brake, reverse and it will allow you to turn on the factory amp if you have one, you also need an antenna adapter cr-6. you will also have to order the factory radio bezel for the factory navigation unit it will give you a double din opening.

bump on this topic.

Any new information as to the wiring connectors to turn on the factory amp? Maybe there are new/cheaper suppliers? Maybe someone has figured out how to get the amp to turn on with some home-made thingymajig?

The item in question is "pac-audio.com piece c2r-chy". Seems as though it is missing a connector ... possibly from the steering wheel controls? Is that the right harness adapter for infinity system? I personally do not want NAV, just a new CD player and then to be able to mount my HAM radio in the dash.

So, at a minimum I would need the wiring harness that will turn the factory amp on and enable control of CD player from steering wheel. Thanks!

Great idea! Never thought about making a bigger (double DIN) bezel to fit the Ham radio! I mounted mine under the heater controls (Yeasu 8900 w/remote mount head)

For the adapter, check out Amazon, I found one there for the steering wheel controls on my '09 1500.

I'm looking at swapping in an aftermarket stereo w/back up camera, and possibly NAV, and have been searching for what i need.

Steering Wheel Interface:
Amazon.com : Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface : Vehicle Audio Video Accessories And Parts : Car Electronics

Note: That is for my '09 RAM 1500, you will have to inout your rigs specs to find one that works.

Hope that helps!
