Question Side-View Mirrors Fit?

Have an '06 SLT with power side view mirrors. Was wondering if I purchased mirrors that were power, heated and dimming if they'd fit and operate ok?

Won't the heat be turned on by hitting the rear defrost button? Anybody out there do this?

Also, were there any 2nd Gens out equipped with the auto-dimming rear view mirror?

I think mine had the auto dimming rear view (center) mirror. It was a Limited model.

Wonder if the wires are tucked up somewhere or if they just didn't add the wires for the dimming rear view. I have just a regular mirror.

Sorry, I just re-read your post and it is for the side mirrors.

I changed my side mirrors from the small power mirrors to the larger heated/powered mirrors. Same plug, same mounting holes, heat doesn't work. There is power at the fuse block when I press the 'defrost' button, and the fuse is good, but no heat at the mirrors.

Probably need a wiring diagram to sort it out.

Man, I was really hoping I could get some heated stock mirrors.
