I just bought an 04 Durango. After a couple days when I started it it ran really crappy for a few minutes and my check engine light came on. The light is still on but it appears to be running fine. I took it to Autozone and Advance Auto and there computers would not comunicate with the Data Port. I checked the fuse according to a diagram from the internet but it's not blown. The keyfobs don't work either but this may not be related. Anyone have any Ideas. The dealer I bought it from is not a Dodge dealer but I will be taking it in next week. Not sure how much help they will be though.

Its possible that the scanners used at places like AutoZone or Advance may not be able to work with your Durango. The reason is that starting in 04, Durangos and several other DCX vehicles began using what is called a CAN bus diagnostic system which even at the dealership requires the use of a different scan tool than older model vehicles.
