Default VES DVD system

I purchased a used 2004 Dodge Durango and have the VES DVD system. I know that I can have my children watching a movie and listening through the headphones without having to listen to it myself but I can't get it to work. First of all I can't get the headphones to work. Any suggestions? I put in new battries already.
Once I get the headphones working do i just get to change to format to radio and they can still listen and I can listen to something different.
I have no manaul for the system. I would love to have one but can't find one.

If you haven't already, try this. When the headphones are powered on with the volume up slightly, and a DVD is playing, press the "Scan" button on the headphone to sync them with the VES system. Once the headphones and VES are going, you can change the source at the head unit and listen to something different through the speakers.

Default iPod to DVD system

Hi, I have a 04 Durango with the VES DVD system...I've been trying to get my iPod to play through the DVD A/V inputs but cannot figure it out. What do I do other than plugging in the iPod to the A/V inputs? I'm stuck...any help would be appreciated.
