How do you like Durango?
Just wondering how everyone likes their new Durangos? Any problems and what do you especially like about it? I have a 2000 Durango that I bought new and it has been great vehicle ....might be trading in a couple of years for another one and just wondering how yours has faired so far.....Kent
I love it! I bought a 2004 last January and now I'm upgrading to a 2005. There were a few options that weren't available with the 04 SLT and now they're available with the 05 SLT. Yeah it's got a Hemi!
I've driven my dad's 2004, and I didn't like its looks at first, but theres nothing like it! He's got the HEMI, and I absolutely love that truck. The ride it gives is superior. I love it!!!
I like it. It's been a good, reliable truck. There are things I wish it had, but they aren't deal breakers.
1. Dead pedal - [:-]
2. Opening Rear Window
3. Stupid placement for the rear windshield wiper switch with the automatic climate control
that's about it.

I love my 04 slt. no hemi though. We have put 20,000 miles on it already with smooth sailing. we traded a 2000 4x4 slt for it and i couldn't be happier. I'm hoping to hear what mod's every one has in store.
I bought a 2004 Limited Durango with every available option. I loved it at first but then had some soccer mom comments that sorta made me second guess myself on the purachase of the truck. I'm looking to modify it now to escape that classification.
Overall though, I love it. The ride is amazing and that HEMI has *****! Gas mileage sucks, but that was expected.

I only have 1500 miles on my new 05 SLT. So far ok, had the hood repainted due to some spots in the metallic flake that came from the factory. I also installed some air bags in the back springs because I didn't like the way it squated with the trailer hooked up. Otherwise, I love the Infinity sound system with the 6 disk changer that plays MP3s and is integrated with the rear DVD, Dodge finally found a good combination for ride comfort and figured out how to make decent seating surfaces that didn't feel like cardboard. Good room in all rows. They didn't really get the rear cargo area right, not really flat when all the seats are folded down and I really hate that you can't travel with the middle row seats tumbled, and the middle seat in the middle row only folds down, it doesn't tumble which is odd unless you consider that you aren't supposed to leave them tumbled and drive. The hemi has quite a bit of snap to it with the AWD, trust me, those seats don't stay tumbled long and if someones toes were in there when the seats came down, bad news.

I love my wife's 2004 Durango! It's silky smooth and very comfortable on long drives. She didn't get the Hemi, but it's very nice. As a matter of fact, she's the reason I bought my Titan.
When she bought her Dodge, I got her Pathfinder. We would race on the highway and she would blow me away! [:@] I needed something that had more guts and was different.

just traded in my modded srt-4 for the durango needed more room. quite a bit better more roomy more power more everything with the 05 to compared to the wifes grandparents 00 durango r/t i sold them last year. looking to mod it soon if mopar would ever make anything for it besides the catback.
The wife just clicked over 26k miles in our '05 Limited, and I definitely love it. Of course, she thinks it could be a Pinto and as long as the Hemi was in it, we'd still love it. We live along coastal North Carolina, so the Hemi has alot of area to "stretch her legs".
What we have found to Love:
1. HEMI POWER!
2. The Navigation System
3. CD Player with MP3 Capability
4. Visibility from Rear Seats
5. 6 people, 95 degrees, A/C on, Brutal Sand, Outer Banks Beaches...NO SWEAT!
6. Jumping out to pass a car while towing 5500 lbs!
7. Yes it will fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood (can't close back hatch)
[:'(]What needs improvement:
1. Can I get a dead pedal?
2. The thing wants to constantly be driven like it's stolen. Putt-Putting around town gives a rough idle and occasional dead spot
3. Dual Climate Zones would be so nice!
4. Do I really need 8 cylinders at 70 mph?? Why no MDS available on the Hemi Durango?
5. More lumbar support in the seats
6. NAV Functions locked over 10 mph (I just hate having someone else think for me!)
7. Low-Hanging front support arm acts as a snow-plow when off-road (for us that is on the beach)
