I have an 04 durango limited with Hemi. The airbag light comes on and stays on, I ran it through a scanner and got code UO177. I think it said no communication from accelerator sensor right 3. Does anyone know what this code means and how to fix it?

 

U0177-LOST COMMUNICATION W/RIGHT SIDE SATELLITE ACCELERATION SENSOR 3
[ul][*]Set Condition: This code will set, if the ORC and the Right Side Impact Sensor 3 do not establish and maintain valid data communications.[/ul] Possible Causes (R22) SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY (R22) SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND (R22, R24) RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 3 CIRCUITS SHORTED TOGETHER (R22) RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 3 GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN (R22) RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 3 SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN ORC, RIGHT SIDE IMPACT SENSOR 3

 

I have the same problem but can locate the sensor 3 in the car, does any one know where is located, will apreciated your help thanks a lot
