Hello to All, 1st Time Dodge Owner Here
I've been looking for a SUV or Minivan with 3rd row seating for about 2 weeks now that was in the high teens to low 20's price wise. Yesterday I came across a Black 2005 Durango Limited AWD with Hemi for $20,100 with 40k miles.
Well, I couldn't resist it. So now a purty little...well, big Durango is sitting in my driveway next to my 06 F-150 FX4 Supercrew. Aren't I insane with having 2 big V-8's.[sm=devilgrin.gif] . I'm actually kinda sad since I got rid of my Mustang GT for the Durango. But honestly, the Durango has got some umph to it. At least insurance is better.
Anyways, I'm a complete and utter Dodge novice. Myself and my family have always been staunch Ford people. So I know nothing about these things. I think there was a 1/2 ton with a 318 about 17-18 years ago.
Basically I wanted to introduce myself...and ask the infamous questions.
1. What will give me the best bang for my buck performance wise?
2. What are the biggest tires that will fit without a leveling kit or suspension lift?
3. What are the common problem areas?
I'm real big into the 4x4 scene (hence the FX4 F-150) and I plan on getting some Firestone Destination M/T's or Toyo M/T's if they'll fit. I'm thinking a 32x12.5x17 won't have issues. But, there might be room for 33x12.5x17?
Thanks everyone, and I'll post pics tomorrow when I can get better pics with my camera.[/align]

Congrats and Welcome! Sounds like you got a good deal. I can't answer #2 because I'm not sure. Can't answer number 3 because I only have 4,000 miles on mine. #1 your best bet would to be a chip or programmer and gears.
I also have 2 big V8s. Lol. Although I kept my Mustang GT. Here are mine, love to see pictures of yours!
