'05 Durango ?'s
Hey guys new here just stepped into an '05 Durango 4.7 and wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions on the Durango. I just got out of a '94 Wrangler that I DIY together so this is a little new to me.
#1 Can anyone recommend a Cold Air intake or can I do a DIY Project, K&N.......?
#2 What Programer to go with? This Durango doesn't get driven that much and just wanted to see if I can get any better Gas Mileage.
#3 This thing has 3.55 in it will I do better in the MPG with 3.92 or is this just a waste of time. ( 2 wd )?
Thanks NateYJ

Nate:
How many miles on your D?? You will soon learn that the way to keep gas in your D is to keep the IGN key away from the IGN. With a curb weight around 5000 pounds and the aerdynamics of a brick, fuel economy is not a common Durango trait.
If you don't drive it that much, I would not worry about economy as you will spend more trying to increase it than you will get back in savings.
BTW, if your D is under 70k miles, and you are the second owner make sure that the remainder of the 7/70 powertrain warranty got transferred into your name.
If not, it will cost you $150 at a Chrysler dealer and must be done within 30 days of purchase.
