Default Electric Throttle Control

My wife got into the 05 Durango 5.7 HEMI today and a light representing this problem came on. She said the vehicle would not start and it just shock the whole car and the light came on then went out and the check engine and the oil light came on.

I do have an extended warranty so it will be towed today but has anyone ever had this problem and what bad news( I never get any good news about vehicles)should I be expecting?

Thanks
Jim

Did you try restarting?
It could be just a low level of transmission fluid, that is a known stalling problem.

tall she went out at the house and when she tried to start it, it would not turnover or anything. I had it towed to the dealership. I called them and they said do not try to start it anymore and just get it towed in. Hopefully its nothing major and it will be covered under the warranty (nothing else ever seems to be though)

I had a similar issue when mine was new...there is a 2 stage fuse in the fuse box that cut's off all power when the vehicles get out of the assembly plant. That fuse wasn't pressed in all the way at the pre-delivery inspection at the dealer and popped back out...cut off all power but the PCM.
