Default Looking for part ## or "what's it called"

HI ... I have a 04 Durango. Love the vehicle.Has held up well with one exception. The plastic cover on the bottom left side of the drivers seat has broken and is holding on by one screw. I have tried to do a search in here and on the internet to get the part number or name of this part, but have not found it. Thepart broke most likely from the continued stress of getting my fat butt in and out.

Can any one provide a part number or name? That one little screw is not going to hold out much longer.

Thanks

This is a common problem, I am unsure of the part number, but there is several posts on here for that. I have gone through 3 of them on my 05, but I have 120K on it now. It is just cheap vinyl and bad design. Your local dealer should be able to help you out and the part will cost around $50.

When you get a new one, add washers to each side of the screw areas. That will aid in keeping it from happening again. If you get the right kind, it will look great too.

Its called a "drivers outboard seat adjuster shield". if you Pm me the last 8 digits of your VIN, I can get you the part number. The original part number has changed because Dodge changed the material these are made of. The new ones seem to be better quality....
